Largest BIOPV installation inaugurated in France

About 400 BIOPV films were installed at once on two roofs at “Pierre Mendes France” middle school, in La Rochelle by the western coast of France. This installation covers 500 m2 area and resulted in the largest BIOPV installation worldwide so far. It has a maximum output of 22.5 kW (45 Watt/m2) and annually generates 23.8 MWh of electric power that fulfils 15% of the school’s consumption (or ca. 5 households).
