Finlandia Hall transfers to solar power

On the roof of Finlandia Hall a total of 150–170 solar panels will be installed by the end of 2016. The electricity provided by the system, calculated to be 41 kW, will cover 20–25 percent of Finlandia Hall’s total monthly energy consumption.

The decision to install solar panels is in line with Finlandia Hall’s long-term strategy to invest in energy efficiency and environment friendly actions. It also reinforces Finlandia Hall’s position as an organiser of international congresses in a very competitive market.
