Iceland - world leading green energy producer

The last ten years Iceland has by a huge margin been the world leading electricity producer per capita (54 MWh). The figures actually show that they produce more than twice as much as the next country on the list, Norway (26 MWh). It is also worth noting that almost all of Iceland’s electricity production comes from renewable sources, especially hydro power and geothermal heat.
