Deutsche WindGuard has published a report on the status of the offshore wind expansion in Germany during the first half of 2018. The report is available here [in German]
During the first six months of 2018, a total of 62 offshore wind turbines were installed with a combined capacity of 430 MW. However, these were not yet connected to the grid at the end of June. During H1 2018, a total of 75 foundations were built, of which 50 do not have a wind turbine installed. There are 89 foundations without installed turbines from 2017, which means that the total number of available foundations is 139.
The cumulative installed capacity remains at 5,387 MW in 2018 since no new offshore wind turbines came online during the year. Historically, 2015 holds the largest number of ins...
