Ongoing German Legislation on gas GOs

Art 19 of RED II  implements Guarantees of Origin for both Gas (designated here as 'gGO') and Heating & Cooling (hcGO), besides the established electricity GO system (eGO), effective since mid-2021. Throughout the EU, member states are implementing their national regulations at different speeds – for example Austria in 2021, Ireland in July 2022, and Germany which is currently in the process of implementing.
