Finland’s Fortum in advanced talks to buy EON Fossil-Fuel Arm Uniper

Finnish utility Fortum Oyj plans to offer 8.05 billion euros for EON SE’s 47% share in legacy fossil fuel and trading business, Uniper SE, it said in an exchange filing today.

EON, Germany’s largest renewable energy producer, split itself into two in September 2016, spinning off a 53 per cent stake in its conventional power business, Uniper.
