During a recent interview with ENERGIETAGE, the organisers of the major conference for the energy transition (Energiewende) in Germany, a representative of the government highlighted plans to boost biogas production and utilisation in the country.
Dr Patrick Graichen, state secretary of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, mentioned these biogas measures during a live session on 24 August, in the context of initiatives aimed at combating the energy crisis affecting the nation. The removal of production barriers will be legislated via an amendment to the Energy Security Act.
