Intel, the largest voluntary purchaser of renewable energy in the US, is making serious strides in becoming the leader in the reduction of CO2 emissions, by promoting cost-effective and technological innovation.

Intel sources 100% of their electricity in the US via Renewable Energy Credits (RECs). In 2015, Intel purchased 3.4 TWh of RECs, ending up at a total of 18.9 billion KWh purchased since 2008.

The technology company also holds a multi-site, third-party ISO 14001 Certificate, which holds them accountable to maintaining a comprehensive environmental management system, defining and tracking their global environmental responsibilities.
