Swedish Biogas reported a significant growth of 145% in the sale of biogas for the Swedish haulage sector in 2021, compared to the previous year.
Swedish Biogas is a biogas distribution company, delivering the green gas that is produced and processed by Tekniska verken, Swedish Biogas’s parent company, to industry and transport in Linköping. The company has provided Liquefied biogas (LBG) for trucks for over two years, and its third filling station in Norrköping is scheduled to open this year.
According to the company, food waste and residuals are the main feedstock for its biogas production. Since biogas is locally produced, a stable price level can be maintained, implying that customers are able to avoid fluctuating fossil fuel prices.
