With new biomethane tech, the Grolsch is greener on the other side

As reported by Gas World (25 Jan 2022), the Netherlands based producer of Grolsch beer (Koninklijke Grolsch NV) will be investing in biogas upgrading infrastructure to generate biomethane as a by-product of their production processes.

The upgrading technology will be supplied by local bioenergy firm HoSt and should result in more than one million cubic metres of biomethane production per year (slightly over 10 GWh energy equivalent). The solution provided by HoSt is based upon membrane separation technology, ...
