On 22 Jan 2022, Gas Infrastructure Europe in conjunction with the European Biogas Association announced the 2021 edition of the European Biomethane Map, which provides geospatial data on the various biomethane installations around the continent.
This release marks is the third edition of the map. Along with plant locations, other details also included are year of commissioning, capacity and grid-connection status. In total, 994 biomethane plants are represented on the GIE map.
