Air Liquide signs a long-term power purchase agreement for renewable electricity in Spain

xml:lang="EN-US" lang="EN-US">Gas producer Air Liquide has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to source renewable electricity equivalent to 15% of the company’s consumption, for its activities in Spain.  

The agreement is over 10 years, and will draw power from a wind farm in Andalusia (to be operational in 2021) equivalent to 15% of the group's current consumption for its Spanish activities. 

The PPA, Air Liquide's first in Europe, will help them meet their climate objectives to increase purchase of renewable electricity by nearly 70% by 2025, in comparison with 2015.
