Europe’s largest steel manufacturer, ArcelorMittal, unveiled a plan to reach carbon neutrality in the EU by 2050. The plan is meant to align the company’s goals with the EU Green Deal and the Paris Agreement.
According to an official press release, the first route will involve investing in Smart Carbon which involves a combination of clean electricity, circular carbon (bioenergy), and carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology to offset emissions.
