Germany’s innogy SE has signed a PPA with Canada's West Fraser Timber Co Ltd, which will aid the North American wood producer in meeting its environmental targets in addition to hedging against on-peak sawmill loads in the Alberta province.
The power will come from innogy's Vauxhall 27 MWp solar plant. The solar farm will supply more than 45 GWh of green electricity per year to West Fraser.
