Ambitious climate action at Climate Week NYC

Climate week NYC is witnessing its busiest year yet for ambitious corporate action with 20+ new commitments on cleaner energy, The Climate Group has revealed.

Marking five years since the inaugural Climate Week NYC event, today’s pledges have resulted in the RE100 initiative surpassing a 200-member milestone.

Almost 300 multinationals across every major sector are now committed to action, representing USD 5.5 trillion in combined revenue, with operations spanning more than 140 markets and totalling more than 16 million employees.

US retail giant Target Corporation, Europe’s biggest telecommunications operator Deutsche Telekom, Japanese department store chain
