Trading activity increased in June compared to May, with the number of trades by our data partners increasing by 7% and volumes traded increasing by 27%, albeit from a very low base. Trading was centred around GOs from 2019 production, followed by 2020 and 2021 production, while vintages 2018 and 2022 saw fewer number of trades.
Monthly volume-weighted average trading prices (VWAP) fell by 21% on average for all technologies and vintages in June. Nordic Hydro and EU Wind production years 2019 saw the highest decrease, of 27% and 21% respectively. Generic closing prices for 2018 production ranged between 13.5 and 57 Eurocent/MWh depending on the technology. GOs from 2019 saw closing prices ranging from 42 to 84.5 Eurocent/MWh.
