Sweden’s total electricity production in 2017 amounted to 159.1 TWh. Close to 60% of the electricity produced came from renewables, corresponding to 92.6 TWh. Sweden has solid demand for renewable attributes, with a renewable supplier mix above 70%. Sweden is a net exporter of physical electricity, but has in recent years been a net importer of renewable GOs. In 2017 Sweden imported 23.29 TWh GOs, while 2018 saw a stark turnaround, with net imports rising by 93.8%, driving net imports down to 1.44 TWh.
