Google, an RE100 member, is committed to power 100% of its operations from renewable energy sources.  To reach its ambitious goal the company has signed a 12-year PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) from a Norwegian onshore windfarm that has to be built. The windfarm will be in Tellenes south of Stavanger and is expected to be operational in 2017. It will be the largest wind farm in Norway with an installed capacity of 160 MW. Equity financing will be provided by BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager.
