CertiQ, the Dutch issuing body for Guarantees of Origin (GOs) announced that in 2015, GOs corresponding to 42.6 TWh renewable electricity were cancelled, which is 12.5% more than in 2014. In particular, cancellations of solar GOs (from 58 GWh in 2014 to 666 GWh in 2015) and wind GOs (from ca. 9.5 TWh in 2014 to ca 12.4 TWh in 2015) have increased. Around 73% of GOs that were cancelled in the Netherlands in 2015 had to be imported from other European countries. The largest supplier of GOs was Norway (19.8 %) followed by Sweden (13.2%) and France (12.2%).
