January saw substantially more trading activity than in December, with the number of trades by our data partners increasing by 100%. Trading was centred around GOs from 2018 production, followed by 2019 production. There was also a significant increase in the volumes of GOs traded compared to last month. Despite increasing market activity, GO prices for all vintages fell by 15% on average in January after a relatively stable period in December. Volume weighted average prices (VWAPs) from 2018 production ranged between 102 to 113 Eurocent/MWh depending on the technology.
