AIB 2018 Q3 Statistics – Key Countries

The following article outlines the top six domains for issuance, cancelations, net exports and net imports within the AIB. All statistics, except where otherwise mentioned refer to the time period January until and including September 2018.

Main trends:

• Norway remains the largest issuer and net exporter of GOs.
• Spain issued 0.3 TWh more than Italy during Q1-Q3 this year, but due to export restrictions in Spain, Italy remains the second largest net exporter.
• Germany remains the largest net importer and has the highest number of cancelations.
• Spain has the second largest number of cancelations, whereas the Netherlands has the second largest net import of GOs.
