Market activity decreased slightly in September with 9.57 TWh traded, a 6% decrease compared to the 10.2 TWh traded in August. The price increase continued throughout most of September with Nordic Hydro 2018 GO rising from 171 to 196 Eurocent, corresponding to an increase of 14.6%.
Towards the end of the month, prices started to fall. The correction may in part be driven by large amounts of rainfall and record levels of wind production in the Nordics. Rainfall in Norway averaged 200% above normal for the three first weeks in September according to data from NVE.
