The report presented by Oslo Economics outlines different proposals for how the Ministry could change the Norwegian GO and electricity disclosure schemes. The possible changes presented work in opposing directions, with some contributing to a strengthening of the schemes and others in a weakening of the schemes.

Changes pertaining to the electricity disclosure scheme and NVE’s product declaration for electricity are largely cosmetic and the proposal of selectively supporting the physical production mix is likely to have little noticeable effect. The scenario where such a change would undermine the usability of Norwegian GOs within the AIB is unlikely.
