Prices for Nordic Hydro GOs continued to rise in August. The monthly average price rose from 141.12 Eurocent at the end of July to 172.20 Eurocent at the end of August, an increase of 22%.
Prices continue to increase in September, and preliminary numbers show that the VWAP for vintages 2018 and 2019 were at 189.43 and 212.62 Eurocent respectively (12.09), corresponding to a 10.79% and 16.26% increase respectively since August.
After the summer heatwave, there has been a normalisation in temperatures in the Nordic regions. Temperatures are still slightly above normal. Weather in the Nordic regions for the following weeks is forecast to yield more precipitation than normal and temperatures to return to reference.
