NVE and Energimyndigheten has released their quarterly report on El-certificates. During the second quarter of 2018, 0.4 TWh of production was approved in Norway and 0.3 TWh in Sweden.
As of the 1st of July 2018, power plants that are part of the common goal of 28.4 TWh annually by the end of 2020 had an estimated normal production of 21.7 TWh in both Sweden and Norway. This corresponds to an increase of approx. 7% from January 2018. As part of the ‘transition scheme’, another 14 TWh is also eligible for el-certs but is not part of the common. Sweden has prolonged the el-certificate system with a further target of 18 TWh by 2030.
