Prices for Nordic Hydro GOs rose sharply during the month of July. The volume-weighted average price (VWAP) for 2018 production rose from 101.14 Eurocent at the end of June to 133.85 Eurocent at the end of July, an increase of 32%. Nordic Hydro 2019 production had a VWAP of 149.66 Eurocent at the end of July, an increase of 37% from June.
Prices have continued to increase in August, preliminary numbers show that the VWAP for vintages 2018 and 2019 are 164.93 and 179.01 Eurocent respectively (10.08), corresponding to a 23% and 20% increase respectively since July.
Since the start of 2018, the VWAP of Nordic Hydro 2018 vintage has increased by 19.3% each month on average. The recent price increases can be partly explained by the exceptional weather conditions and increasing domestic...
