The production of Dutch Guarantees of Origin decreased further in May (production statistics are only available from the previous month). Production in May totaled 997.8 GWh, down 11.1% from the 1122.5 GWh produced in April. Production is dominated by wind, with 624.9 GWh produced followed by 233.5 GWh Biomass.
Imports rose somewhat in June, with 2,481 GWh imported, corresponding to a 13.9% increase from the 2,177 GWh imported in May. The largest imported GO volumes came from Italy (474.1 GWh), Sweden (385.6 GWh) and Denmark (341.1 GWh). As opposed to last month, wind GOs made up the lion’s share of imports, with a total of 1,403.3 GWh imported (an increase of 52% from May). 338.6 GWh wind was imported from Denmark and 290.9 GWh from Spain.
