Breakdown of AIB 2018 Q1 statistics

The AIB statistics for Q1 2018 reveal modest growth when compared to the Q1 statistics for 2017.  Changes across the entire AIB are shown together with a breakdown of select countries below.

Transaction issuance increased by 9.5 TWh or 5.2% to 192.4 TWh, while transaction cancelations rose by 10.9 TWh or 3.8% to 300.3 TWh across the AIB. Cross-border trade has picked up compared to last year with exports and imports  increasing by 22% and 24% respectively.
