Greenfact has just published a new article exploring one of the demand drivers for GOs, The RE100.
The RE100 is a global initiative consisting of 131 member firms who have set targets of 100% electricity consumption (as of April 2018). The initiative is run by The Climate Group in partnership with CDP. Members include leading global firms such as Apple, Microsoft, IKEA, BMW Group and Walmart, amongst others.
Collectively, the RE100 firms consumes 159 TWh of electricity worldwide, which is more than the electricity consumed by New York State or Poland. Members of the RE100 initiative consume at least 31 TWh of electricity annually from operations in Europe, out...
