Wheather update
Low consumption in Norway due the Easter holidays combined with low inflow led to a substantial reduction in Norwegian power production. This contributed to the third week of net imports in Norway.
On the 20th of March, a fault was reported on the NorNed cable between Norway and the Netherlands. The cable will not be available to the market until the 25th of April at the earliest.
Prognosis week 14
Based on NVE’s calculations, snow around the reservoirs amounts to 60 TWh by the start of week 14. This corresponds to normal levels.
Estimated inflow for week 14 is 0.3 TWh, 40% below normal.
Energy from rainfall for week 14 is estimated to 3.6 TWh in Norway, approx. 170% of normal levels.
