The Spanish power retailer Audax signed the “world’s biggest” long-term PV power purchase agreement (PPA) with renewables firm Cox Energy. Electricity production is expected to amount to 1.3 TWh per year from 660 MW of installed solar capacity.
Cox Energy will sell Audax the power produced from Solar PV installations of 495 MW in Spain and 165 MW in Portugal. The construction of the plants is expected to commence this year and to be commissioned by 2020. Total investment in these projects is expected to reach around €400 million according to Cox Energy.
