In an interview with the newspaper, Børsen, the Danish climate and energy minister Lars Lilleholt said Denmark is expected to rapidly increase offshore wind power capacity in the coming years.
The Danish government has set a target of achieving a share of 50% renewables in the overall energy consumption by 2030. Today, Denmark sources just over 30% of its energy from renewable sources.
