Schneider Electric’s SVP explains their visions for renewables

Schneider Electric is a member of the RE100 project and aiming at carbon neutrality by 2030. It takes a dual approach through both RE100 and EP100 (Energy Productivity). Xavier Houot, SVP of Schneider Electric, explains the group’s perspectives and visions to the energy aspect, as well as to the RE100 project.

Why going 100% renewable?

  • Green growth is a passion shared by Schneider’s 144000 employees.
  • The solutions exist to tackle the challenges to meet a 2 degrees Celsius trajectory.
  • They have to start from each of us and each of our companies.

Achievements so far?

  • In the past two decades, Schneider mainly focused on energy efficiency and halved its energy consumption (10% every 3 years for 20 years).
