UK to hold round three CfD auctions in spring 2019

The UK government has confirmed it will hold a further subsidy auction for up to £557mm for renewable electricity projects as part of Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme ” – planned for spring 2019.

Three offshore wind farms were successful in the most recent CfD auction (round two) on the 11th September 2017 and the auction results revealed a dramatic drop, of 50 per cent, of developing wind farms off the UK coast.
