Germany closes tender for 1GW onshore wind

Germany has just finalised its second onshore wind tender, awarding 67 projects just over 1GW wind capacity.

The federal network agency BNetzA reported in their press release that the average price achieved was 4.28 €cent/kWh, slightly lower than the 5.71 €cent/kWh from the similar auction held in May. The tender was reportedly surpassed with 281 bids totalling almost 3GW.
