Wind power provides the equivalent of 118% of Scotland’s electricity

The country set a new record the first half of 2017. Enough power was generated to meet Scotland’s national demand for six days. And in June, data provided by WeatherEnergy showed that wind turbines provided around 1,039,001 MWh of electricity in June, equivalent to 118 percent of Scottish households. The numbers for January to June his year is at increase of 24 percent, compared to the same period in 2015.
