On 29th June, the Polish government held a renewable energy auction and contracted 4.725 TWh of power. While the exact numbers are not yet made public, it is expected that the largest share of projects was awarded to solar.
The Chinese company Renesola announced that it was awarded 42 MW in the tender. According to the company each of the projects will have a capacity of 1 MW and the installations are eligible for a fixed tariff of PLN 385-392 per MWh for a period of 15 years. The installations will most likely be connected to the grid during the second and the third quarter of 2018.
