Green lobby seeks 35% RE target

In an open letter to Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), European green industry, including Wind Europe and Solar Power Europe, has called for a binding target of at least 35% renewable energy by 2030. In the Winter Package, RED II, the target is set at 27%. This is a decline in renewable development after 2020 the letter states.
