DONG Energy to build offshore wind projects in the German North Sea without subsidies

The Danish company DONG Energy will build two wind projects in the German North Sea without government subsidies.

The Bundesnetzagentur awarded DONG Energy the right to build three offshore wind projects earlier in April. The three wind projects will have a total capacity of 590 MW. They are planned to be commissioned in 2024.

Two of the projects will not receive governmental subsidy on top of wholesale price, being so called ‘zero bids per MWh’. The third project, the Gode Wind 3 projects, was awarded based on €60 per MWh.
