Beverage giant Anheuser-Busch InBev, producer of Budweiser, Beck’s and Stella Artois, has committed to consuming 100% renewable energy for its global operations by 2025.
The producer has a yearly consumption of nearly 6 TWh of electricity, making them the “largest corporate direct purchaser of renewable electricity in the global consumer goods sector, reducing the company’s operational carbon footprint by 30% – the equivalent of taking nearly 500,000 cars off the road,” according to the RE100 press release.
