European transmission system operators to construct wind power hub in the North Sea

Artificial Power Link island(s) will be built in the North Sea to connect over ten thousand wind turbines, and act as a base connecting the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Belgium and Norway to a common wind energy transmitting system.

TenneT in the Netherlands and Germany, and Energinet.dk in Denmark are responsible for the initiative to develop a large renewable electricity system in the North Sea. The project is currently looking for potential partners.
