Wind power developers installed more capacity than any other type of energy last year in Europe, helping wind to overtake coal in terms of capacity.

Last year, a total of 12.5 GW of wind energy capacity was installed across the EU. Total wind energy capacity for Europe is now 154 GW, surpassing coal at 152 GW.
