The Natural & bio Gas Vehicle Association (NGVA Europe) has recently shared data showing an impressive growth of biomethane usage in the European transport sector. Slightly over 25% of gas consumption in road transport in 2020 came from bioCNG (bio - compressed natural gas).
The NGVA Europe statistics show that 3810 CNG stations across Europe had successfully offered biomethane to consumers by the end of 2020. Among the leading nations providing biomethane for transport, Denmark was first in terms of biomethane share (%) supplied to the CNG re-fuelling stations, followed by Sweden, the Netherlands, UK, Norway, Germany, and Finland, respectively.
As of February 2022, there are 4111 CNG stations (an 8% increase from 2020) and 500 LNG stations across Europe. This implies an improved...
