In the UK, The Restaurant Group (TRG) has signed a green gas contract with French-headquartered energy major TotalEnergies (First reported on 9 December 2021).
The gas contract is part of a larger agreement for renewable energy supply in the form of renewable electricity, gas, and Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) for some of TRG's divisions including restaurant chains Wagamama, Frankie, and Benny and Chiquito. The gas contracts will have consumption backed by Renewable Gas Guarantees of Origin (RGGOs).
