EU trade committee votes against extension of anti-dumping on solar trade with China

The Anti-Dumping and Anti-Subsidy Committee of EU Member States voted to oppose the anti-dumping measures against Chinese solar cell and module producers for two years, but support the anti-subsidy measures against the same producers.

The original measures were introduced in 2013 as a way to protect the European solar industry, but there are conflicting opinions within the industry. It is expected that the European Commission will revise the proposal, leading to another vote in the next few weeks.
