Amidst a COVID-19 recession, the latest figures from BloombergNEF show global investment in new renewable capacity grew by 5% in the first half (H1) of 2020.

Figures from BNEF's database shows particular growth in the offshore wind sector with investments in H1 2020 totalling U$35 billion up a whopping 319% in the same period last year and above 2019's full-year figure (U$ 31.9 bn).
