BayWa r.e. has announced the sale of seven solar parks in the Netherlands, with more than 80MW, which have all been built last year.

The projects, which include the ground mounted installation at Groningen Airport Eelde (21.8MW) and the two floating solar installations Tynaarlo and Sekdoorn (together 23MW), have been sold to the Encavis AM part of Encavis AG, one of the leading Independent Power Producers (IPP) in Europe. The sales are the first from BayWa r.e.’s Dutch solar assets.

Karsten Mieth, Speaker of the Management Board of Encavis AM added: “The acquisition of these seven solar plants in the Netherlands - especially in times of COVID-19 - is particularly satisfying because it shows that BayWa r.e. and Encavis AM are strong and reliable partners.
