Siemens Gamesa wins wind turbine order from Eurowind Energy Sweden

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA has obtained an order to supply turbines for the 46-MW Knostad wind project near Karlstad, Sweden. The shipment consists of Siemens eight units of the SG 5.8-170 rotor wind turbine.

The order was placed by Danish developer and wind turbine operator Eurowind Energy. Said chief executive Jens Rasmussen: "At Eurowind Energy, we believe that continuous improvement of LCoE is evident for the industry and we consider the SG 5.8-170 as a step in this direction.”
