The Estonian government has made a decision to review a construction permit which would allow the creation of an offshore wind farm in the Gulf of Riga. The wind farm would be a joint energy project between Estonia and Latvia.

The wind farm is expected to be complete in 2030, with 1000 MW capacity from up to 160 wind turbines. Once operating, the wind farm should be able to supply about half of Estonia's electricity requirements. Estonian energy compan...
