Denmark turns to CfD-type tender for Thor offshore windfarm

Wind Denmark has confirmed that Thor, Denmark’s next large-scale offshore wind project, will be awarded after a UK-style Contract for Difference (CfD) auction.

Thor will also differ from previous offshore windfarms in Denmark in that the network connection will also be included in the bid price. As a result, the developer will not only build the windfarm but also establish the grid connection and the transformer substation.
